North America

These vacations visit the United States, Canada or Mexico. See Alaska, with its grand glaciers and snowcapped mountains, or New England in fall, when the brilliant foliage explodes in a cascade of bold colors. Tour the National Parks of the western United States or the historic cities of the East. Explore the volcanic islands of Hawaii or the pristine wilderness of the Canadian Rockies, or enjoy the delights of California’s wine country.

You might also sample the flavors of the Old South or Southwest. Travel farther south to Mexico and discover the culture and ancient history of the Mayans.

Mexico

A variety of experiences await in the southernmost North American country. On the Yucatan Peninsula, for example, the ancient world of the Maya comes to life. Here you’ll find fascinating archaeological sites like Chichen Itza and Uxmal as well as the beautiful beaches of Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

Central Mexico is home to charming towns and dynamic cities, such as Mexico City. Oaxaca and Puebla were founded several centuries ago and boast many historical museums and archaeological relics.

Some trips feature Copper Canyon, a region accessible only by rail. You’ll board a train that travels from sea level to nearly 8,000 feet, winding along the rims of steep chasms, climbing mountain passes and crossing rivers
